Public Works High School Internship-Summer 2010

The Los Angeles Board of Public Works is now accepting appli-
cations for it's paid summer internship program. You can apply
on-line at http:// www.bpw.lacity.org/pwhip The application 
deadline in March 15.  Participants are exposed to careers in
water, wastewater architectural and environmental engineer-
ing industries. Partnering firms offer 6 week paid internships
and integrate classroom learning with real world experience.
In other words, you get paid and have something really out-
standing to put on your resume.

who have volunteer and/or work experience.

Summer 2010 Arts Program

Happy New Year! Hope all is well. The California State
Summer School for the Arts (INNERSPARK) is seeking the most
talented high school visual, literary, media and performing
artists in California. Students will be selected from a rigorous
competitive application process and will attend one of the country's
premier summer arts institutes on the campus of Cal Arts in
Valencia from July 10 through Aug. 6, 2010

INNERSPARK  offers instruction in Animation, Music, Dance,
Film, Video, and Theater. There is a fee of $1,485 for families
that have the means to pay. AND No student who has the drive and
talent to succeed in the application process will be denied ad-
mission, solely on the basis of inability to pay."
