City Year is Hiring

"City Year," a non profit org, is hiring students who
are interested in helping their communities serving
as tutors and mentors to elementary and middle school
children. You must be between the ages of 17-24 and
commit to at least 10 months of community service
as mentioned as well as recruit volunteers, research,
evaluate and document service project results.
See me in room 404 for more info. You must also
attend an orientation session Mar 8, April 5, or May 3rd.

Lunch Passes

Many 10th and 11th graders have taken advantage of the
Monday lunch pass by doing well on the CST, at least one
proficiency. You guys are awesome! Keep up the good
work and remember that you must show IMPROVEMENT
on this next round of the CST, so keep doin' what ya been
doin! Keep that GPA up and keep those Proficiency and
Advanced scores comin'. And for all you students who might
be struggling a bit; take heart...focus on improvement; let's
take it HIGHER not LOWER!
The Eve and Gene Black Summer Medical Career Program
is still accepting applications until Feb 25th. If you are interested
in a summer internship in the medical field, see me ASAP. You
must be at least 16 yrs. and in the 11th or 12th grade. You may
request a stipend if there is financial need. Questions? contact
